Have you been interested in a 3-wheel motorcycle but not sure what steps to take next?
First off, here are some of the perks that come along with a 3 wheel motorcycle-
- Stylish & Street Savvy
- Powerful & Performance Oriented
- Comfortable & Convenient
- Easy to Ride
- Plenty of Cargo Space
- Bold, Confident Look
- Unprecedented Control
- Long Distance Fuel Range
How to get your 3 Wheel endorsement:
- Taking a 3-wheel riding course is recommended but not required. You will learn how to minimize risk and handle special situations, basic vehicle control, throttle control, straight line riding, stopping, turning and shifting, advanced skills like stopping and evasive maneuvering.
- Take and pass the motorcycle knowledge written test at your local DMV to acquire your motorcycle instruction permit
- Once you have your permit you can operate a 2- or 3-wheel motorcycle. You must wear a DOT approved helmet, can not carry passengers, can not ride on interstate freeways and can not ride at night.
- Take and pass the riding state skills test for your motorcycle endorsement. If you take the test on a 2-wheel motorcycle your endorsement will cover 2 and 3 wheels. If you take it on a 3-wheel motorcycle the endorsement will only cover 3 wheels, not 2.
To be able to ride: Carry proof of insurance, register the vehicle and display a valid license plate, wear eye protection
